Modern-day Fairy Tales: The Frog Prince (version 2)

The princess sat there, thinking.  She was not sure what to do.  His life, his future probably depended on that one selfless, yet gross, act of kindness.

“Should I kiss the frog?”  She kept debating with herself.

Then she saw tears in his eyes.  His begging tears won the debate.

Modern-day Fairy Tales

As children, we were raised on fairy tales, believing that good will triumph over evil no matter what, that the spell will be broken, and justice will be served.

These stories made sense back then, when the world was a bit prettier, life was simpler, and hearts were purer.

Time has changed!

I shall try to showcase these fairy tales, with a taste of the real world... OUR world!

One More Story

When all else was sleeping, two little girls remained awake.  They would keep talking, laughing, and running all over their little world.  They cannot sleep yet.

The older, a 5-year-old, and the younger, a 3-year-old, had their own happy places to go; their day was not over when everyone else’s was.  There’s one more giggle, one more run around the house, one more game, and one more story to tell.  Bedtime story was their absolute favorite part of the day.

With her beautiful, wide eyes and cute little curious voice, the little sister, Mona, would ask “and then, what happened??”
“They lived happily ever after!” Basma would reply.
“Ok .. but what happens after that?”
