As children, we were raised on fairy tales, believing
that good will triumph over evil no matter what, that the spell will be broken,
and justice will be served.
These stories made sense back then, when the world was a
bit prettier, life was simpler, and hearts were purer.
Time has changed!
I shall try to showcase these fairy tales, with a taste
of the real world... OUR world!
I am waiting :D

DeleteI really feel these words of "life was simpler, and hearts were purer.
ReplyDeleteRemember yesterday children who used to listen to a story about the girl that used to have the super powers of listening to her friends that are trapped in a tower, far away in an island on a top of a mountain, and start narrating the same story to today's children, and the pop up saying that she definitely she has a 3G iPad.
Even the meanings of some words have changed, my mother learned that the word "Processor" is a multi function blender, where today if we speak about processor, it means that the conversation is about either a laptop, or it might be a new smart phone.
Time has really changed, and I believe that this is a smart start of new approach of how fairy tales should be written.
Best of luck Basma, you now have me as one of your fans. :)
loooooooool .. 3G iPad!
DeleteWhere did imagination go?!!
Technology and technological terms are ruling over and taking over our lives.
Thank you so much, Goharyco, for the encouragement. I hope you won't be disappointed if the modern-day stories turn out to be too cynical and rather "fairyless".
