Modern-day Fairy Tales: The Frog Prince (version 2)

The princess sat there, thinking.  She was not sure what to do.  His life, his future probably depended on that one selfless, yet gross, act of kindness.

“Should I kiss the frog?”  She kept debating with herself.

Then she saw tears in his eyes.  His begging tears won the debate.

She took him between her hands, raised them to her lips and… magic!

She kissed the frog!

She could feel that something was happening.

The world suddenly seemed different!

She kept her eyes fixed on the frog, waiting for him to turn into a prince.

To her surprise, he didn’t turn into a prince.

But something strange was happening.

The frog was growing bigger and bigger!

Not just the frog, everything was getting bigger!

She finally saw happiness in his eyes!

The frog wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and to her astonishment, he could actually do that; it fit perfectly!

He drew her closer to the well.

She looked at the water and saw something she never imagined!

She saw two frogs!

She turned into a frog!

It turned out that the frog was feeling lonely, and wanted someone to keep his company.

He lied about the nature of the spell cast on him.

The spell was that any girl who kissed him would turn into a frog!

She couldn’t even cry; she was a frog!

She was stuck with a frog she hated ever after!
